The handsome prince suddelny transforms into a princess, then into a devil – such a thing is unthinkable in ballet for example. However, in Nihon Buyo one dancer transforms from male into female, or into flowers and into the wind. This does not mean some extravagant transformation, but a supple change, nimbly turning from one thing into another. In Nihon Buyo the dancer can jump freely not only over gender but space and time. Thus the viwers are invited to a 5 dimensional journey.
