As explained in OKEIKO 33, phrases using the word "hiku" follow as one scene changes into another. For the most part, the dance follows the lyrics of the song, so if you know the meaning of the lines, you can understand the dance. However, since the tempo of the music is fast and the movements are varied, even if you do not know the detailed meaning, you can still enjoy the performance. While the word "hiku" is repeated until the very end, in the finale – as typical of “go-shūgi-mono” pieces – a message about receiving divine blessing is relayed. The song ends with an auspicious lyric that says, "May your good luck and relationships continue on as long as the shimenawa rope* surrounding (the shrines).
