If you bear in mind that one dancer can change from one role to another in the same piece, you will find Nihonbuyo quite interesting to watch. The dancer portrays not only the characters, but also depicts the scenery sometimes. In Nihonbuyo, a single dancer is enough to convey the drama, to appeal to the emotions of the characters, and even depict the scenography. In other words, one dancer can create a "world".
